Studio: White Paint on Stainless Steel

After experimenting with white spray paint over the top of my plinth painting, and the obsession with lack of colour and just texture, I wanted to experiment with using white paint on stainless steel.

Reflections:

  • The use of thick impasto white paint in the areas where the light reflected on the stainless steel, in that moment in time when I was completing the painting.
  • I stuck the metal aluminium bracket with the word 'luxury' so it is reflected in the mirrored surface of the steel.
  • I like the way these two mediums work together, and a development would be to incorporate white acrylic paint into the surface of my larger piece of stainless steel.
