Studio: New Floor Painting + Aluminium Cut-outs + Feedback
- Rather than silver leaf for this piece, I thought about adding the aluminium cut-out's from a previous piece. This instantly worked really well with the shapes from the paint, and the colours.
- Adding metal really helps to bring all my work together.
- Further development could be stainless steel cut-outs instead of aluminium!
Peer Feedback:
- I like the way you've used the pieces as they look like theyve been fitted for the painted patterns, for example this one goes with the line:
- It looks like mercury, fragments, they work really well with the paint.
- Could try stainless steel to see how the fragments work and interchange them, but at the moment the flat surface is working well with the aluminium.
- how would you fix them? a discreet glue? or paint?
- It looks like the metal has been melted down, this could look good if you set it into concrete or something else (idea for future project).
Re-reflection, playing around with placement, following lines of paint:
